Nadeian Vizhenka was married to Captain Vizhenka. She was the youngest child and last illegitimate daughter of the Great Avar of Barizhan, Maru Sevraseched.[1] She was the younger sister of Shaleän Sevraseched, Thever Sevraseched, Ursu Perenched, Holitho Sevraseched, and Chenelo Drazharan.
Appearance[]
“Her skin was charcoal gray, darker than Maia’s though not quite the perfect goblin-black, and her eyes were pale yellow. She was much taller than Osmerrem Gormened—an inch taller than Maia himself—and her figure was opulent, even in a heavy winter court dress.”[2] Maia initially thought of her as "a young goblin woman."[2]
Her laugh was similar to Maru's. She spoke in perfect, "if heavily accented, Ethuverazhin."[2]
Personality[]
Nadeian preferred that Maia know about his family. She disliked the politics of Barizhan.
Life[]
Nadeian was the youngest of Maru's illegitimate daughters. It is unlikely that Chenelo knew of Nadeian, as Maru didn't acknowledge his illegitimate daughters until after Chenelo's death.[2]
Nadeian came to the Untheileneise Court with Maru and Vizhenka for Maia's 19th birthday and Winternight. During a luncheon at Vorzhis Gormened's dav, Nadeian sat with Nadaro, and Vorzhis introduced Maia to Nadeian. Nadeian explained how she was Maia's aunt, and talked about her sisters.
Nadeian danced with Maru during the Winternight Ball.[3]
Before Maru returned to Barizhan, he left a half esphekh of soldiers to protect Maia, with Vizhenka to lead them, in part because Maru thought Nadeian would be happier at the Untheileneise Court than at the Corat' Dav Arhos.[4] Maia asked Vizhekna if he was able to invite Nadeian and Vizhenka to family gatherings, and Vizhenka said that he and Nadeian would be pleased.

Trivia[]
- It's not clear if Nadeian does or doesn't share a mother with any of Maru's other illegitimate daughters. Thever and Chenelo were Maru's only legitimate children, and so are Nadeian's only confirmed half-sisters.
